IMI Precision Engineering Assembler II- Mid-level in Auburn, Washington

Under direct supervision, performs any combination of the following repetitive tasks on assembly line to mass produce small products. Frequently works at bench as member of assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and passing unit to another worker. May be assigned to different work stations as production needs require or shift from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor. This position will backfill for the Line Leader when out.
Bolts, clips, nails, rivets, screws, solders, or otherwise fastens component parts of assembly together, using hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.
Positions, fits, or aligns parts on workbench, floor, or machine, following blueprints, diagrams, guides, holes, reference marks, or work orders.
Loads and unloads previously setup machines, such as arbor presses, drill presses, taps to perform fastening, force fitting or light metal-cutting operation on assembly line.
Holds parts during assembly, using hands, clamps, pneumatic screw presses, or other work aides.
Reads process charts, work orders, blueprints, or other specifications to determine assembly sequence, machine and tooling requirements, measurements, and tolerances.
Regularly performs Quality Control inspections and tests to verify accuracy of finished goods for its conformance to standards, using measuring or testing equipment, or by visual examination.
Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools.
Cleans dust, dirt, oil, and other foreign matter from material, machine surfaces and facilities, using cleaning solution, rag, air hose or other cleaning tools.
Stamps, labels, or otherwise marks product or packages with identifying data.

Education & Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent.
Three year’s experience in this or similar industry and/or recommendation of department supervisor.
Must be able to function in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience with basic measuring tools preferred.
Ability to reference and comprehend technical drawings.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning of words.
Ability to understand and follow written directions in English on work related documents.
Communicates effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience.
Talking to others to effectively convey information
Listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate
The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Company will provide following training to achieve following certifications:
Must be certified in all Critical operations of assigned production unit. (Example: Air 1)
Must be certified in all QC operations of assigned production unit. (Example: Air 1)
Averages a score above 3 in skills matrix for their assigned production unit.
