Location: Auburn, WA
The Auburn, WA Manufacturing Technician IV performs a variety of tasks to ensure a safe working environment and continuous improvement of product flow, quality, and efficiencies. Designs, builds and installs new assembly equipment. Analyzes and directs repairs and maintenance of production equipment. Manages outside contractors for various projects.
Demonstrates good judgment, diagnostic ability, and ability to initiate and follow through with projects.

Supports NPI projects by developing processes and equipment which meet safety, quality and cost targets .
Equipment design, documentation, implementation and optimization.
Investigates safety concerns, production efficiencies, supplier quality problems, process improvements and facility improvements and proposes and implements corrections.
Designs and executes experiments and tests for the evaluation and validation of processes.
Initiates projects to improve safety, quality, profitability and efficiency of manufacturing lines.
Mentors and helps direct the activities of junior technicians.
Coordinates with CCF team to bring resolution to customer concerns.
Performs repairs on production equipment, tooling, and fixtures.
Generates and maintains process operation sheets, control plans, process flow diagrams, and other process related documents.
Coordinates with outside job shops to complete projects.
Maintains work environments and records in an identified, logical, and organized condition.
Other duties as assigned.
Two year certificate from college or technical school in a technical field and five+ years experience as a manufacturing technician
OR more than 7 years relevant work experience.
Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical production equipment, tooling, fixtures, and processes.
Ability to train others in the proper, safe operation of production equipment according to written work instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with employees from diverse cultural backgrounds and with limited English communication skills.
Ability to use industry standard personal computers (PCs) and PC applications including Excel and Word.
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English. Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
Ability to identify a problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and propose corrective action. Ability to interpret basic technical instructions presented in a variety of formats. Demonstrate a basic understanding of physical phenomena and their analysis and manipulation. Must have and use good judgment when working with and directing others while working with hazardous devices and materials.
