IMI Precision Engineering Warehouse Supervisor & Planning in Auburn, Washington

This role is responsible all aspects of the Warehouse Operations; Storing, Shipping, Receiving, Material Pick Up and Material Delivery. Acts as a Leader and manages the people, process, and service related objectives that drive continuous improvement, customer service, and efficiency gains to reduce overall cost-to-serve with safety in mind. This role is a hands-on role working side-by-side with employees.


  • Provide effective supervision to all Warehouse employees, ensuring efficient use of labor hours and productivity

  • Drive Safety awareness and responsibilities for all warehouse activities in accordance with Norgren and IMI Way policies and procedures

  • Responsible for maintaining the production plan; works with purchasing and customer service to achieve accuracy and timing.

  • Apply accountability standards based on KPIs and implement change to continuously improve performance and increase workflow

  • Monitor and adjust daily schedules according to volume

  • Facilitate effective and timely communication to employees by being accessible, responsive and resolving issues in a timely manner

  • Maintain operational integrity, ensure that processes are effectively established, followed, monitored and optimized

  • Recruit, train and develop staff, and recognize individual and team successes

  • Develop and maintain warehouse inventory plan based on product velocity, resource efficiency, and volume

  • Ensures that inventory receipts, picks, pack, and shipping are processed accurately and within the expected time

  • Develops, maintains, and communicates operational metrics as required to various leaders and direct reports throughout the organization

  • Supervises locally and partners with our customer service organization to ensure the customer experience is consistent and executed locally

  • Provide Production Scheduling, Planning & Forecasting updated and facilitate actions through the sales and operations planning process.

  • Prepare forecasts and analyze trends in manufacturing, sales and distribution to improve utilization of assets and direct labor.

  • Facilitates Manufacturing Scheduling Meetings on a daily and weekly basis.Scheduling and monitoring input and output using the Master Production Schedule. Materials Requirement Planning and priority planning reports.

  • Administers thoughtful, clear performance reviews and conducts Performance Management as required

  • Excellent organizational skills, individually motivated, and a team player

  • Strong 'root cause' analytical, change, and data management

  • Excellent facilitator with conflict resolution


Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  2. 3 years of Warehouse Operations or related Experience

  3. ERP proficiency preferred

  4. Combination of experience & education may be accepted

  5. WMS and barcode experience

Background Preferred (Not required):

  1. Quality controls & inspection procedures

  2. Evidence of developing and maintaining ISO operating procedures

  3. Lean & 5S Organization Methodology

  4. Transportation / supply-chain software

  5. Customs and trade import requirements and compliance procedures

Skills and Competencies

General knowledge of ERP systems and processes

Computers and Technology

Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)


Forklift Certified
