Our Brookville Ohio location, estabilished for over 50 years and leading manufacturer of pneumatic actuators, is looking to add a dedicated and experienced Assembly Supervisor to their team. This is a full-time opportunity for an employee oriented organization that offers the following:

Reports To: Operations Manager
The Area Supervisor in Brookville, OH plans, organizes, and coordinates daily work goals and measure performance of assigned areas. They provide opportunities for employees to reach their highest level of personal and technical excellence. As a member of management staff, represents the company in a dedicated, professional manner. Responsible for contributing to the achievement of total customer satisfaction by providing high quality and timely service to all internal and external customers.
Responsible for developing and building winning teams in a positive work environment through effective leadership practices.
Manage operational resources to optimize performance to achieve departmental, functional, and organizational goals.
Initiate and support process improvement activities in support of department goals and objectives.
Drive lean implementation and employee involvement.
Champion high quality production standards and drive continuous improvement.
Analyze operations, overseeing new job set ups, analyze machine/equipment malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments where needed.
Report results of the shift in a specific and complete manner (i.e. time and reporting employee hours, machine malfunctions, etc.) to promote shift to shift communication.
Support employee training on safety and ensrue all PPE compliance and safety precautions are in place and being followed.
Take personal ownership of internal and external customer issues and follow through to ensure a lasting service impression.
Partner with Planning and Purchasing to coordinate manufacturing schedule.
Participate and/or lead training and development programs.
Meet daily with employees and other supervisors to ensure good communication is maintained on all issues in department and the plant.
Evaluate employee’s job performance in relation to established production standards.
Check and verify employee’s time in the ADP Timekeeping system for accuracy prior to approving for weekly payroll processing. Enter employee’s schedules and changes for tracking.
Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Associates Degree preferred (in mechanical or technical field) or equivalent experience.
Two to four years supervisory experience in a production manufacturing environment.
Lean training and 1-2 years related experience.
Skills and Competencies

Capable of developing and executing effective plans; identifying obstacles and issues and communicating to get things resolved.
Must have ability to understand operation and key performance parameters, as well as the processes and materials used to manufacture responsible products.
Computers and Technology
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Lean Manufacturing certifications are highly desireable.
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, performance management, coaching, supervision, fostering teamwork, training and development of one or more employees.
