Our Brookville Ohio location, estabilished for over 50 years and leading manufacturer of pneumatic actuators, is looking to add dedicated and experienced CNC Machinists to their team. This is a full-time opportunity for an employee oriented organization that offers the following:

Reports To: Line Supervisor

Location: Brookville, OH

The Brookville, OH CNC Operator II performs standard and repetitive sequences of operation to run and adjust semi-automatic or automatic computerized numerically controlled machine tools.


  • Keep all assigned machines running for production.

  • Must be able to load parts for all required operations and must be able to replace worn or broken tools on assigned machine tool and adjust offsets for the tooling replaced.

  • Read and understand prints and all information included with prints.

  • Use or read all basic inspection gages to ensure quality and dimensional tolerances while using various inspection methods and SPC techniques. Additionally, will need to be competent at setting and reading all inspection gages in the respective area.

  • Must be able to complete simple setups of assigned machines to include a program that has been proven and/or already run by the Programmer and fixturing already completed by Programmer, minimal tool setting involved at the discretion of the Programmer, and ability to perform standard tool offsets to bring the part into allowable tolerances.

  • Must be able to adjust all offsets on the assigned machine tool, including Zero Set offsets on lathes and wear and geometry offset for each tool used. Can also include machine offsets and tool offsets on machining centers or G10 offsets on CNC lathes and machining centers.

  • Must be competent at loading and downloading CNC programs from the network to the machine tool assigned.

  • Minor editing of programs may be required, but should be kept to a minimum. Minor editing will include changing tool numbers at times, speeds and feeds of individual tools to reduce chatter, and calling programs into the machine and sending programs back when updates are complete.

  • Maintain equipment in good working condition by oiling, greasing, and periodically freeing equipment of chips.

  • Maintain simple records, data sheets, work orders and time cards as required.

  • Must understand and have the ability to perform basic maintenance on assigned machines. To include checking (and filling if needed) coolant levels, way lube or grease levels, grease chucks when needed, and overall house keeping such as sweeping, mopping, or wiping down machines.

  • Follow all safety standards, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.

  • May be required to train or help CNC Loaders if requested.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have at least 2 years machining experience in a manufacturing environment and general knowledge of CNC functions.


  • Must have good working knowledge of basic math, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and decimals.

  • Must be able to work from written and verbal instructions, as well as blueprints

  • Must be able to use basic inspection gages to include ring & plug thread gages, GO and NOGO gages, Mueller gages, Dial Bore gages, both dial and digital calipers, all types of micrometers, scales, and height gages.

Certificates and Licenses

  • CNC Operator Certification or Associates Degree in Precision Machining preferred.
