Performs all operations as assigned within the Shipping/Receiving department to meed work load demands.
Manages departmental resources to optimize performance to achieve organizational goals for on-time delivery.
Assures all quality system procedures, processes, and documentation are followed and is actively involved in department process improvements.
Assures compliance with existing safety guidelines and initiates corrective action to improve employee safety.
Assisting the Supervisor in daily functions of the shipping department.
Ensures all process documentation, output reporting, and quality tracking information is completed accurately and on schedule as required.
Cross-Trains personnel to ensure work force flexibility andevaluates employee job performance in relation to established production standards..
Responsible for overseeing 5S activities. Maintains a clean and orderly work area in compliance with IMI 5S guidelines and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent.
5+ years work experience similar industry or warehouse and/or the recommendation of the department supervisor.
previous Lead experience or proven ability to lead others.
Demonstrated working knowledge of LEAN principles.
Experience in international shipping.
Skills and Competencies

Experienced in referencing technical drawings for production assembly and comfortable explaining specifications to peers. Has some ability to audit drawings, providing feedback to direct supervisor.
Experienced use of hand tools and measuring equipment required.
Comfortable with the structure and content of the English language
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to understand the economics of manufacturing such as OBM statements and gross margin reports.
Demonstrates capacity to continuously improve, incorporating LEAN manufacturing practices into daily work.
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and analytical skills and be a strong leader. Strong computer skills are required.
