IMI Precision Engineering Electrical Lab Technician in Las Vegas, Nevada

We are seeking a professional who is passionate about Medical Solutions & Improvement to join our team in the role of Electrical Lab Technician!

Overview

Assists assigned function Engineers in the design, development and test of electrical circuits, components and products. Performs electronics troubleshooting and rework including dismantling, adjusting, repairing, assembling and operating according to engineering drawings and schematics. Under supervision may design and perform tests used to support engineering efforts.

Responsibilities

  1. Possess and applies technical electrical science &/or manufacturing knowledge.

  2. Development of Assembly Test Fixtures.

  3. Create prototype PCBs using bread board.

  4. PCB design layout utilizing Orcad/Allegro or equivalent software.

  5. Basic design work utilizing SolidWorks.

  6. Troubleshooting of final assembled products, including circuit boards to a component level

  7. Works independently to prioritize and accomplish daily objective to support needs of the organization.

  8. Assists and Supports Engineering in design, build and test stages.

  9. Designs and conducts various design tests to support engineering.

  10. May establish manufacturing methods and costs for design engineering.

  11. May construct testing equipment of experimental models.

  12. Follows proper departmental procedures and maintains proper records in accordance with organizational requirements.

  13. Possess intermediate level of understanding on procedures, techniques and equipment used.

  14. Keeps work area clean and organized to insure safety and environmental compliance.

  15. Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way and Leadership Blueprint within the organization.

  16. Follows all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.

  17. Communicate effectively across engineering disciplines.

  18. Perform system integration, verification and validation activities.

  19. Document test result and write test reports

  20. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Associates degree; technical training or equivalent experience.

  2. 5+ years’ hands on experience working with electronics.

  3. Previous experience using electrical equipment such as: voltage/amp meter and oscilloscope.
