IMI Precision Engineering Configuration Analyst in Littleton, Colorado



The Configuration Analyst Level 1 is responsible for knowing the functions of the IMI Precision Engineering systems to ensure accurate business rule configuration in support of the end users in various departments. The Analyst will work closely with the Engineering Team, Operations and business associates to craft configuration that drives business value and/or respond to business requirements. The Configuration Analyst will conduct analysis of the business rule configuration to optimize implementation and maintenance activities.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Process item set-up forms received forms received from IMI Precision Engineering sister sites.

  2. Process new Supplier & Customer forms and enter data into the ERP system.

  3. Process new Item Set Up data and enter into the ERP system for specific branches.

  4. Integral team member for assigned projects. Work with members of configuration management working groups on assigned actions.

  5. Perform research and analyze system configuration. Update internal documents and control databases.

  6. Provide the highest quality level of technical product support to all internal channels in a timely manner. This support may include but is not limited to part structuring requests,

  7. Customer set up data for shipping/invoicing, Supplier data for payments.

  8. Manage our JDE data in a manner consistent with current practices.

  9. Other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience

  1. Associates Degree (A.S) equivalent or a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required in industrial component for a high mix volume manufacture.

  2. Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

  3. Requires competent engineering and technical judgment.

  4. Must demonstrate excellent problem solving skills.

  5. Must work well individually, self-motivated demonstrating initiative and accepting responsibility with minimal supervision.

  6. Must work well in a team environment respecting those around them.

  7. An unwavering desire to improve customer satisfaction by exceeding targets.

  8. Knowledge and desire to learn more about IMI Precision Engineering products and processes.

Computers and Technology

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and ERP System.
