IMI Precision Engineering FMLA, Leave and HRIS Systems Administrator in Littleton, Colorado
This role is responsible for full-cycle FMLA and leave administration, as well as the HRIS and systems maintenance for the Human Resources department. Provides support and advice to clients on compliance with Americas with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related issues.
FMLA Leave Administration -
Administer all aspects of the leave of absence program and ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
Determine employee eligibility for leave and designates appropriate leave status
Requests and obtains completed certification and re-certification forms
Provide required notices designating leave as FMLA, notify employees of the status of group benefit coverage, their other rights and obligations, and requirements for return to work
Ensure all applicable leave laws are considered and applied, coordinates with paid time off and other leave and insurance programs
Maintains databases and performs other tasks to ensure the accuracy of FMLA and personal leave records and files
Ensures confidentiality of employee records and medical leave
HRIS Systems -
Provide human resources department with all HRIS Support
Develop, update and modify codes, tables, reports and other system applications.
Maintains system to ensure continued operations and reporting efficiency.
Trains Human Resources on systems access and utilization
Researches new technology related to human resources and keeps management informed
Recommends system design changes and upgrades based on efficiency of current system and user needs.
Generates routine reports and designs special reports as needed
High School Diploma required; degree in Human Resources or Business is preferred
Minimum 5 years experience in HR Program Administration; dealing with confidential information, complex record keeping and file management and counseling employees.
Minimum of 2 years administering FMLA and other leave programs in a multi-state environment
Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of HRIS Platforms
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, including FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation, USERRA, PDA, HIPAA and other privacy laws
