IMI Precision Engineering Human Resources Internship - January 2020 Start in Littleton, Colorado

The focus of the IMI Human Resources internship is to provide a 4 month opportunity to engage with a world class Human Resources team to learn and receive challenging and meaningful assignments within the HR realm. These challenges and assignments are part of a well-planned internship program, which allow for great growth and learning opportunities. The pillars of the internship will focus on strategic Human Resources knowledge and skills, IMI business knowledge and personal leadership and development skills. This role will start in January 2020 and will run through April 2020.
Work with the IMI Americas Human Resources team to identify strategic business opportunities for local and global sites
Collaborate on Human Resource projects with other members of HR team, locally and regionally
Offer assistance to all Human Resource staff on projects and tasks
Learn all aspects of the IMI Precision Engineering brand, as well as product knowledge needed for successful completion of the role.
Assistant and run projects and initiatives related to Human Resources at the site and regional level.
Make recommendations for improvement on areas within the Human Resources department
Work with the recruiting team to assist in screening, reviewing, sourcing, interviewing and obtaining talent for roles across the Americas

Education and Experience
Be actively enrolled in a business or human resources degree, no requirement for a certain amount of credit hours/college year.
A demonstrable passion for human resources, engineering innovation and a résumé that demonstrates your previous work experience: it could be paid (such as a placement or internship) or voluntary (extra-curricular activity or volunteering/charity work)
Keen to build a career on the international stage – you’ll undertake at least one international placement

Skills and Competencies
Excellent written and spoken English – the application form and interview will be conducted in English
Self-motivated, proactive individual capable of working as a member of a team, leading teams and operating independently
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
High level of integrity and the demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
Must have working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing employment practices and procedures.
