The purpose of this position is to work as a team leader to provide the highest level of Engineering Advantage to our customers for new product introductions and value engineering projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Deliver projects on time, specifications and budgets, coordinate cross-functional project teams through the whole project cycle. As such lead and coordinate project meetings and reviews.
Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to customers.
Effectively apply IMI APQP methodology and enforces project standards.
Minimize our exposure and risk on project.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Effectively convey our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
Manage and allocate, coordinate and review internal and external resources.
Manage and maintain effective communication with all internal and external partners, such as suppliers, sales managers and customers as well as members of the management team.
Hold regular status meetings with project team.
Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year College or University with four years related experience managing a phased gate project process required.
Basic knowledge or understanding of the IMI Precision Engineering markets is preferred.
Computers and Technology
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Proficient in MS Project
Proficient in company CRM System
Certificates and Licenses
- PMP / PMI certified
