Reports To: Director of Sales
Location: Saline, Michigan
While primarily focusing sales efforts toward existing key customers, the Key Account Manager in Saline, MI will drive sales results for new products and automation engineering services in order to profitability grow our business.

Deliver Results : Manage sales forecasts and ensure accuracy of account projected sales - while achieving sales targets.

Models & promotes positive relations and teamwork within the organization.
Customer Driven and Drive Innovation: Maintain and develop customer accounts (and relationships) while identifying opportunities for new products and business opportunities where Norgren Automation Solutions (NAS) can provide Engineering Advantage with acceptable margins.
Business Driven: Capable of creating financial background for project margin analysis and managing the project and engineering changes.Capable of creating business case presentations- including ROI scenarios and payback analysis.
Build Winning Teams: bring opportunities back to company and marshal people and resource to convert opportunities to sales. Capable of leading teams, selling “internal customers,” and leading good solutions for the end customer and great products with great margins for NAS.
Follows all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.
Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way and Leadership Blueprint within the organization
Keeps work area clean and organized to insure safety and environmental compliance.
Plan/schedule customer visits with the goal of meeting customer demands.
Plan, schedule customer visits with agendas. Agendas should consist of all key DMUs and objectives we are targeting.
Provide feedback and reports from customers concerning NAS products and market trends.
Focus on growth of product lines and margins.
Work within ERP system and use PC tools (excel/Word, etc) to manage business.
Possess a very high technical aptitude and act as a “technical liaison” for sales group.
Create and organize Customer/VAR training—including presentations.
As applicable with skill set- be a technical support partner and support for entire team.
Other duties as assigned.
Four-year degree in Business or Engineering and/or 2+ years sales experience in capital equipment, manufacturing and/or automation.
Outside sales experience shall include a documented record of sustained accomplishment-including a solid understanding of sales forecasting, proposal creation and a rudimentary understanding of business financials.
A documented record of accomplishment and sales driven results.
Sales pipeline management experience with targeted business sales. Ability to effectively manage a sales forecast/budget and understand impacts on manufacturing and business planning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Additional language skills desirable.
Experience with MRP systems
Computer software competency: Outlook, PP, Excel and Word
Possess a strong ethical foundation
Be organized and results driven
Ability to make difficult decisions, negotiate and achieve results in a high energy, challenging environment.
Ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word processing software and MS Excel spreadsheet software.
