We specialize in providing innovative engineering services, custom design and manufacturing solutions to our customers and are looking for an HR Administrator to join our team!

Overview

The HR Administrator acts to assist the HR Business Partner by performing a wide variety of support functions as well as handling general office administrative duties. The HR Administrator will also provide specialized support for HSE operations, initiatives, and programs. The HR Administrator will balance multiple projects at once and answer employee inquiries.

Responsibilities

The HR Administrator is responsible for the following:

  • Supports payroll and acts as liaison between local site and corporate site

  • Aids in the maintenance of HR data base and file system, including the participation in scheduled audits

  • Upholds the integrity of the HR function through their actions. Participates in or has knowledge of sensitive and confidential information; keeps and understands the importance of confidentiality

  • Researches, compiles, provides and submits accurate data for a variety of reports for HSE, HR, and Finance.

  • Follows all safety guidelines and acts as a safety champion within assigned facility

  • Oversees general office needs; maintains supply level through the purchasing of office supplies, coffee supplies and janitorial needs ensuring optimum pricing and stock levels

  • Issues building security badges

  • Maintains an accurate floor plan and organization chart

  • Acts as a local “benefit representative” for employees including the maintenance of employee medical records and enrollments.

  • Aids in the maintenance of HR data base and file system, including the participation in scheduled audits

  • Supports employee recognition programs and community involvement initiatives.

  • Administers and maintains company credit card & auto program

  • Reviews patent invoice and maintain spend records to ensure invoices are within guidelines

  • Travels to Saline location once a month to assist with filing

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma with 3 years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field

Skills and Competencies

  1. Possess effective communication skills; incumbent works with individuals in all levels of the organization, and is a primary liaison for many external contacts.

  2. Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  3. Strong organizational skills; and the ability to multi-task is essential.

  4. Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality and judgment in dealing with sensitive issues.

  5. Ability to understand, interpret and apply policies and guidelines effectively and accurately.

  6. Ability to respond to changing priorities and difficult situations

  7. FLSA and HR compliance knowledge preferred

Computers and Technology

  1. Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

  2. MS Access, Visio and AutoCad a plus.

  3. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred
