We specialize in providing innovative engineering services, custom design and manufacturing solutions to our customers and are looking for a Machine Operator to join our growing team.

Overview

As a Machine Operator, you will operate a CNC Mill in our fast paced environment. Our CNC machine operator is responsible for the production of a wide variety of precision parts and willwork from written instructions and blueprints to mill parts to specifications. Our Machine Operators work in a short-run production environment and are provided the opportunity to learn and advance.

Responsibilities

  • Possess and applies basic knowledge of operations including: boring and milling.

  • Performs checks using variety of gauges and fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.

  • Use common hand tools in the production and finishing of machined parts.

  • Maintains required levels of production.

  • Ensure quality parts while minimizing scrap and rework through proper in-process inspection.

  • Perform basic pre-staged machine set-ups, tool offsets, edit programs under direct supervision.

  • Recognize & resolves tooling wear problems.

  • Follows proper operating procedures and maintains proper records in accordance within plant management system.

  • Keeps work area clean and organized to insure safety and environmental compliance.

  • Follows all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE.

  • Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/GED

  • <1 years of related experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Basic math skills

  • Basic measurement skills including: calipers, micrometers, height gauges and scales

  • Basic blueprint reading skills .

Computers and Technology

  • A knowledge of basic computer skills
