The Finance Director requires a seasoned financial professional with proven leadership experience providing sound and reliable judgment for all accounting aspects. The Finance Director is responsible for establishing and updating procedures and internal controls in the areas of finance, cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting. The Finance Director will have dual responsibility over the Saline and Rochester Hills, MI facilities.

Analyze the financial results to include margins and expenses in order to provide non-financial management with strategic improvement recommendations. Participates in key financial decisions. Contributes meaningfully to strategic discussions.
Owns the Budget and Cash flow model, creates monthly variances with explanations and analysis.
Creates Ad Hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational reporting packages, which would include financials, key performance indicators. Provides analysis and manages special projects.
Exercise tight control over A/R, A/P, payroll, procedures and policies, expense controls, business insurances, and cash management.
Provide accurate and timely preparation and monitoring of budgets, profit plans and audited, consolidated annual reports.
Work with management reviewing budgets and making recommendations for revisions that will provide up-to-date information regarding projected financial results.
Demonstrate leadership in the financial organization; command confidence in the Finance and Accounting organization and instill a strong controllership mindset.
Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way and Leadership Blueprint within the organization.
Keeps work area clean and organized to insure safety and environmental compliance.
Follows & promotes all safety guidelines including utilization of proper PPE
Bachelors in Accounting or related undergraduate Degree – MBA a plus.
7+ years experience in a Financial/Controller Leadership role.
5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in cost analysis in direct manufacturing is preferred.
Background in large, complex, global organizations; success establishing long term financial forecasts based on anticipated sales.
Demonstrated judgment and problem-solving skills
Solid analytical and creative skills blended with practicality.
Strong computer and financial systems integration experiences.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Best in class knowledge of financial practices, GAAP, cost management, supply chain and manufacturing/operations is required.
Highly skilled at organization and personnel development

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheet software; and accounting software.
CPA/CMA Certification is preferred
