IMI Precision Engineering Material Handler- Group Lead in University Park, Illinois

Overview

We are looking for a 2nd and 3rd shift Material Handler Group Lead to join our team!

Responsibilities

Work from blueprints, packing slips, purchase orders, requisitions, pick cards, transaction cards,

Computer sheets and verbal instructions to:

  • *Coordinate the daily work schedule for the department identifying and assigning priorities.

  • *Monitor workflow in the department areas.

  • *Requisition department supplies.

  • *Troubleshoot, research and resolve various problems affecting the inventory and related transactions for raw materials, component parts and finished goods.

  • *Assist Purchasing and Accounting with various inventories related matters.

  • *Work with suppliers, on site as necessary, to resolve various quality related matters.

  • *Fill requisitions of requesting departments weigh/counting component parts from various storage locations.

  • *Route/move raw materials, component parts and finished goods to and from plant departments/warehouse locations.

  • *Prepare the required paperwork/reports for the department and make adjustments to the computer database for inventory transactions.

  • *Monitor report of incoming goods to ensure completion of inspection and placement in storage facility within designated time period.

  • *Monitor inventory accuracy reports to identify reasons for errors and suggest corrective procedures.

  • *Train departmental employees on the Bimba quality system as related to the area.

  • Assure the quality of incoming parts and materials using a wide variety of precision inspection tools. Essential functions of the job .

Qualifications

  • Must have successfully completed math, blueprint and gauging.

  • Education - High School Diploma or GED

  • One-year related Manufacturing experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully train/check work of others.
