Perform duties to provide timely inspection, delivery and distribution of incoming components, raw materials and final product to storage or to departments.
Review purchase order and/or work order report to determine product received from vendors internal/external suppliers, call up related part specification from computer files and catalog, locate parts in designated area and match with paper work to ensure proper part was received.
Pull proper number of sample parts from production run and/or shipment according to plan and inspect parts to ensure dimensions meet Part specification (print, engineering standards, and catalog specification) and check for material defects.
Write up acceptance or reject tag as necessary, place tag with material, enter required data into the computer system and fill related material certifications.
Provide liaison to production schedules and manufacturing personnel to expedite turnaround of received parts into inventory.
Work with receiving, inventory and scheduling personnel to assure expedient turnaround of received parts into inventory.
Work closely with the production/purchasing department in the identification of nonconforming product. Assure that the subsequent disposition and resolution is completed in a timely manner.
Investigate and resolve questions involving the status of any received or inspected component/raw material.
Prepare and deliver paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure the division's instrumentation is properly calibrated as scheduled.
Enter and maintain inspection information into the computer database.
Assist division management in the training and education of divisional employees in the Bimba Quality System and proper use of a variety of precision inspection tools.
Work with suppliers (internal/external) on site as necessary, to assist production/purchasing department to resolve various quality related problems.
Work with divisional quality technicians in the disposition of inventoried materials.
Experience using a wide variety of measuring instruments, such as: micrometers, calipers, comparators (optical), Rockwell Hardness Tester, plug gages, thread gages, and profilometers. (Applicants will be tested).
Basic knowledge and use of personal computer, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
