Production Assembler

Part-time, entry-level, manufacturing opportunity!


Reports To: Production Unit Leader

Location: Auburn, WA

This is a part-time position; hours are Thursday through Saturday from 5:00am - 4:00pm. In this role as an Assembler you will work in a team and perform a combination of repetitive tasks to mass assemble small components for our Commercial Vehicle customers. Attention to detail and the ability to assemble according to specifc printed instructions is required. Frequently you will work at bench as member of assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and passing unit to another worker. May be assigned to different work stations as production needs require or shift from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor.

  • Bolts, clips, nails, rivets, screws, solders, or otherwise fastens component parts of assembly together, using hand tools, power tools, or bench machines.

  • Positions, fits, or aligns parts on workbench, floor, or machine, following blueprints, diagrams, guides, holes, reference marks, or work orders.

  • Loads and unloads previously setup machines, such as arbor presses, drill presses, taps to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal-cutting operation on assembly line.

  • Holds parts during assembly, using hands, clamps, pneumatic screw presses, or other work aides.

  • Reads process charts, work orders, blueprints, or other specifications to determine assembly sequence, machine and tooling requirements, measurements, and tolerances.

  • Inspects, tests, and verifies accuracy of assembled article for conformance to standards, using measuring or testing equipment, or by visual examination.

  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools.

  • Cleans dust, dirt, oil, and other foreign matter from material or machine surfaces, using cleaning solution, rag, or air hose.

  • Stamps, labels, or otherwise marks product or packages with identifying data.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent.

  • One year experience in similar industry preferred


  • Must be able to function in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Experience with basic measuring tools preferred.

  • English Language -Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning of words.
