This Human Resources Coordinator position is a fantastic on-ramp into HR offering the ability to learn and experience a wide breath of HR functions within a fast-paced professional manufacturing setting. You must have the ability to deal diplomatically and professionally with all levels of people.This position provides specialized support and is the first line response to questions regarding HR policies, programs and benefits, etc. for site level employees. This position is based in our Auburn, Washington facility, this facitlity engineers, designs, and manufactures componenets and systems found on-board commercial vehicles.

  • Aids in the new hire process including but not limited to: offer packet preparation and distribution, coordination of pre-employment screening and conducting and coordination orientation.

  • Maintains employee files ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state laws as well as organizational requirements.

  • Develops, distributes, and coordinates a variety of company announcements including new hires, promotions, and general employee communications.

  • Assists employees and managers and employees with basic HR related questions.

  • Maintains or assists with a variety of HR reports both internal and external.

  • Assists employees and various agencies (ie; unemployment, loan agencies, public aid, etc.) with questions and forms surrounding benefits, wages, employment and other HR related areas.

  • Aids in the creation, documentation, and maintenance of HR processes.

  • Maintains the training data base pursuant to Quality system requirements.

  • Partners with the HR Manager to understand and achieve departmental and organizational goals.

  • Works with HR Manager to coordinate, develop and deliver effective training programs.

  • Assists in the maintenance and entry of employee data in the HRIS system.

  • Assists in the development, implementation, administration and tracking of open enrollment, employee recognition, wellness, activities and safety programs.

  • Aids in the documentation of work-related injuries according to worker's compensation laws and other regulations.

  • Assists supervisors, managers, and agencies as needed with the coordination of the temporary workforce.

  • Demonstrates positive relations and teamwork as established in the IMI Way and Leadership Blueprint within the organization.

  • Upholds the integrity of the HR function through their actions. Participates in or has knowledge of sensitive and confidential information; keeps and understands the importance of confidentiality

  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree HR or related field, or combination of education and experience.

  • 1+ years of previous HR experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • High level of interpersonal skills, integrity, and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Attention to detail in composing, preparing, and proofing materials; establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills.

  • Comfortable in a multi cultural environment

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.

Computers and Technology

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

Certificates and Licenses

  • PHR certification preferred
